NEW STUFF - 1.9.17

Posted: 29 Aug 2017

Im looking at doing home deliveries this summer from my refrigerated truck. You can look at the products on the "buy Fishing Products"page or give us a call on 0274439750. This will include bait, tackle, rods and reels but unfortunately not beer or rum.

Weve got a good range of Catch Fishing lures, tackle boxes and plyers in store at Seaview now. These include Beta bugs, Squid Wings, Microjigs, long jigs, kabura

INSHORE BOATFISHING SEMINAR
7th Sept 7.30pm $20pp at Pete's Seaview store
covers spots, tackle, techniques, boat handling, knots, rigs, bait and berley

FISHING REPORT
Harbour - plenty of kahawai have turned up this week

South coast - bluecod fishing seemed to be good around the 30, 50 and 80 metre marks but the tarakihi were off the bite on the weekend (for us anyway). Ive heard of a few trevs and warehou caught

Trench - it was pretty tough on the weekend. good reports of ling and the odd bass and blulenose prior to the weekend

West - no reports

Surfcasting - a few spotty sharks and a trev caught at Ocean beach on Sunday along with the usual spineys, reddys and kahawai. Theres been a few trevs getting caught off the shore recently in the harbour and on the coast. Makara point, White rock and Pencarrow have all produced good trevs in the past and are worth a crack now. Boom rock is another good winter spot for tarakihi, warehou and the odd trev off the rocks.

TACKLE
Weve got a few white bait set nets, scoops and waders in stock at the Seaview shop if anyones interested
also these Catch Kabura lures are excellent on the local bluecod population

CHARTER PRICES
Im running the Daniel up to Xmas and maybe a bit longer this year. Due to increasing maintenance bills I've had to increase my prices. If you want to book in by the end of August for a trip this September through to December you will save yourselves a couple of hundred bucks. If you want to prepay the whole trip you can on this site and save yourselves even more - http://treatme.co.nz/search?q=fishing&page=0
