Online fishing forums

Posted: 28 Jun 2018

Isnt it good to able to get fishing reports and info on the many fishing forums available in NZ these days.

Facebook is huge and currently has the biggest following for online fishing enthusiasts. The Fishing NZ forums used to be pretty big in Wgtn but have died off a bit now. Tackle tactics surfcasting forum used to be pretty popular as well.

Ive seen a few come and go over the years. Their down fall starts with people abusing other people or putting them down. Keyboard warriors like to intimidate people saying their fish look undersize ot they have caught too many or sometimes its just good old comon jealosy.

Ive had a few detractors over the years with people unhappy the way I run my business or get the wrong end of the stick about something. Its certainly hard to keep everyone happy. I know one thing, its bloody hard running a fishing business in Wgtn due mainly to the weather and sea conditions being less than perfect most of the time. Generally when someone starts putting me down online and I cant delete it, I just leave that forum and let the online dickheads do their thing.

I wonder what will be the next big online thing to happen.

You tubes pretty good with videos and spotify is great with the music

It looks like TV and hardcopy magazines are on the way out but you never know, they may make a comeback
